Relationships and partnerships are important to me in that having positive relationships are very helpful with nurturing you as a person, having a form of relationships that are encouraging when you may feel vulnerable. I think that having a genuine relationship of trust and having a confidant to go to and feel comfortable within your relationship with a person to be able to go to them about everything and anything. When you build relationships especially positive and encouraging it makes you as well as the other person feel safe, loved and cared for. I think that as you grow into adulthood those relationships that you have built along the way especially nurturing and encouraging from childhood you learn to appreciate and be grateful of those relationships.
My relationship with my husband is a growing and positive relationship we have been together for thirteen years. We have grown up together and built a relationship learning about each other along the way. We encourage each other by being supportive, positive and listening to each other. We have built a family and relationship on trust, respect and love. This relationship is one that has developed and continues to be stronger with time.
My relationship with my daughter is a very positive relationship she is only ten years old but very wise beyond her years every day she amazes me with what she has learned. I have built a relationship with her of trust, encouragement, nurturing, live and life long lessons. I know that she is reaching the age of middle childhood where these can be the challenging age of childhood. I plan to be supportive and a good listener still providing that love and mother nourishment she will need to bring her into adulthood.

ReplyDeleteI too have a daughter who is also wise beyond her years. She amazes me everyday I am also trying to build a relationship that will remain strong as she progresses into those Middle Childhood years. I believe that giving them that support and taking that time to listen will help us make it through those challenging years.
